Science Rendezvous 2026

Volunteer for Science Rendezvous and claim Professional Development Hours!

Science Rendezvous, the biggest science outreach activity in Canada, is taking place on May 9th, 2026!! 🎉

We will be setting up booths representing the research groups in the department to showcase their work in the form of some fun, demonstrative experiments.

On top of the lab booths, there are plenty of other volunteering opportunities, as we plan on running several demonstrations throughout the day, such as a magic show, a laser show, slime-making, and much more. Volunteering for will allow you to claim up to 6 Professional Development hours (or 8 hours for direct-entry PhD students) in one of the three categories: Research & Teaching, Personal Effectiveness, OR Communication.
