Colin Hahnemann Bayley Fellowship in Chemistry


The Bayley Fellowship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence to an incoming graduate student.

Value:

The value of the Scholarship is $21,000, payable in three equal installments (September, January and May), plus research and teaching assistantships. The Bayley Fellow must be in full-time attendance for a minimum of three months in any term during which they hold the award. Repayment of the award will be required if full-time attendance is less than three months, or if the student transfers to another department.

Conditions of Award:

Awarded on the basis of academic excellence to an incoming graduate student. If the student is entering a Master's program, he/she will hold the Fellowship for a period of two years. If the student is entering a Ph.D. program, he/she will hold the Fellowship during the final two years of the Ph.D. program. The student will be known as the Colin Hahnemann Bayley Fellow. Scholarship entitles you to a reduction in your obligatory teaching assistantship.

Eligibility:

  • There is no restriction with respect to citizenship or status in Canada.
  • The Bayley is awarded to an incoming graduate student.

Conditions of Award:

Application Deadline:

Application is not required. The winner is selected from the incoming class by the Graduate Studies Committee.
