Mark Lautens receives Herbert C. Brown Award

Professor Mark Lautens is the winner of the 2021 Herbert C. Brown Award for Creative ­Research in Synthetic Methods. Lautens, the first Canadian to receive this award, is being recognized for his outstanding accomplishments and creative research involved in the discovery and development of novel and useful methods for chemical synthesis.

This award is presented by the American Chemical Society. Lautens will be honoured at an awards ceremony in March in conjunction with the ACS 2021 Spring National Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
