WITCO (Working Toward Inclusivity in Chemistry Toronto) once again hosted its popular Global Women's Breakfast on Tuesday March 10th on all three campuses.

The GWB is an annual event spearheaded by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. In addition to fostering community, the Global Women’s Breakfast provides a platform for meaningful conversations about advancing equity in STEM. Participants can explore opportunities for mentorship and collaboration while deepening their sense of belonging within the chemistry community.

IUPAC breakfasts are held as a part of the U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science to establish an active network of people of all genders to overcome the barriers to gender equality in science. This year, the theme was "Many Voices, One Science."

WICTO sponsors events and seminars as part of their work for advocacy and education on issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Chemistry community and the broader STEM context. To learn more or become involved, visit their website or follow them on X or Instagram
